How to Mount a Tubular Road Bike Tire

I am riding in rural Louisiana, and there is debris everywhere. On the road there are rocks, glass, potholes, etc.

If your getting pinch flats with good tires and max pressure your between a rock and a hard place. I'd never use slime myself and I don't think it would help in the case anyway. Thorn-proof tubes may but the problem your hitting potholes or rocks hard enough to cause pinch flats. Since this is the type of roads you ride, I'd say 1st try to avoid as many as possible, obvious I know, but learn to bunny hop some of this stuff, avoid what you can and if you can't avoid slow down and unweight the wheel that's hitting the hole etc. These things will help prevent the possibility of pinch flats. On the equipment side the best answer is a little bigger tire. Try 25mm or even 28mm tires, the more air volume the better to handle potholes etc. I haven't used Gatorskins but they are supposed to be tough tires. I have used Hardcase tires though and they are very tough tires take a look at them too.

Hone your skills at avoiding as much as possible, use a larger size tough tire and possibly TP tubes and keep the pressure up.
